When we purchased this Indian Canyons golf course side property for our own home, we were drawn to it’s stunning architectural form and beautiful mountain wrapped setting. With years of neglect and a dated floor plan layout, we saw the potential to not only improve its appeal, but also to make it better suited for contemporary living. We expanded the closed off tiny galley kitchen and opened it up to the rest of the house, converted an unnecessary fourth bedroom into two luxuriously spacious identical twin home offices, and of course, added a sleek full service bar for entertaining. It is Palm Springs, afterall! With entertainment in mind and channeling the feel of a luxury resort, we also vastly expanded the pool patio space, added an outdoor kitchen and dining, and embellished the property with three gently bubbling fountains and two firepits.
We’re proud to have had this refurbished home originally designed by architect Hal Lacy for the Sidney Jaffe family featured in Modernism Week’s™home tours and events several times.
